SLCA Named Four Players For Elite Training In India Featured

The Board of the Sierra Leone Cricket Association (SLCA) have named four male players to go for an elite training in India.

 

According to Cricket Chairman Bournes-Coker his friend who is the chairman of the Botswana Cricket Association Girish Ramakrishna informed him about the programme in India.

The proggramme name Prakash will be organized by the friend of Ramakrishna a former player and now the Director of Sportzways.Com. # The training programme is to develop players batting, bowling and fitness skills. During the training the payers will get video analysis and will play T20 and 50 overs matches. This, the Chairman said the programme came on the right time as they are preparing for the ICC Division1 in South Africa April 2017.

The association has named three youth players and the captain of the senior male team.

The four players are Lasana Lamin (All rounder) national captain for senior male team and also the captain of Mid-West CC. Edward Ngegba captain national U-19 team a spiner and an all rounder. John Bangura Batsman and James Tommy the fastest growing youth player and presently the best U-15 spinner in the country. According to source the training proggramme will kick start in March 2017. The four players will depart Sierra Leone at the end of February 2017.
