Over Seventy Thousand Dollars ($70,000) was paid out by to teams participating in the recently concluded 2016 Blackheart/St Lucia Football Association Tournament (SLFA), which was held in the players’ lounge at the Daren Sammy Cricket Ground.

The monies paid out covered goals scored, transportation, prize monies for teams who participated in the tournament and the sanction fee to the St. Lucia Football Association for staging of the tournament.
Among those taking home big money was the Vieux Fort South contingent as their inter-district team won the 2016 Blackheart/SLFA knockout football tournament.

They went home with $31,400 dollars, Marchand who finished second in the tournament took home $11,750 dollars, Gros Islet was third and they collected $7,050 dollars and fourth placed Canaries collected $3,250 dollars.

Meanwhile the Sierra Leone Football Association(also known as the SLFA) has failed to release details of the rcently concluded 2016 Sierra Leone FA Cup. The FA Cup was sponsored by the SLFA president’s (Isha Johansen) husband's company and was won by the team owned by Isha. The terms of the sponsorship were never released nor were any of the monies disbursed or the expenditure by the SLFA. On account of the spurrious referring decisions that were made it can only be left to the imagination whereall monies were spent or received.

It would be recalled that Isha Johansen was fraudulently selected as President of the SLFA in a process where the SLFA constitution was abused with imposters filling in for validated delegates during the last Congress. The Anti Corruption Commission in Sierra Leone arrested and detained Isha a few weeks ago, in relation to an ongoing investigation they are carrying on the SLFA, with regards to "donor" funding the SLFA received.
