Leone Stars International Khalifa Jabbie, took some time to talk to JakatoSports this week.

The 23 year old central midfielder is currently plying his trade in Moldova with FC Sheriff. During the recent International break he took the opportunity to visit Istanbul with his family but is now back in Moldova ready to face the task of putting his team back in 1st place of the league.

The Moldovan Super Cup winners, FC Sheriff currently lie in 2nd place behind FC Milsami after 12 games with only 2 points separating both teams. Khalifa acknowledges that there is work, much work to be done to clinch the title, in what seems like a two-way race between FC Sheriff and FC Milsami.

However, he remains optimistic saying, "Well they started well but we have an edge. We won against them in the first leg, And it's 2 points between us"

Khalifa's journey from Mighty Blackpool to Kallon FC took him to Norway, Turkey and now Moldova. He acknowledges, the difference in his latest journey explaining, "The level of Turkish football is higher than Moldovan football. But the Moldovan league is gaining more attention with more foreign players coming in."

For a player who has battled serious injury in the past, the injury table seems now far away as he has played 10 games in this season's league with one goal for his efforts.

When asked about his philosophy to success, he put it very sternly, " There's no magic in football! It takes dedication, determination, self confidence, hardwork, faith in yourself, surround everything with prayers!"

Jabbie was speaking to JakatoSports' Kisimi Joe Kamara from Moldova.
