If someone had told the Ministry of Sports that FIFA officials were more corrupt and untrustworthy than some of their revered politicians, they would have denied it.

Jakatosports joins the sporting family in Sierra Leone in expressing it's shock and sadness of the Leone Stars reserve goalkeeper Alhaji Douda Conteh. Alhaji, came from a growing list of goalkeepers who were graduates from Fourth Bay College. He played for East End Lions FC , FC Kallon, and Diamond Stars.

Chairman of a Premier League team East End Lions and a business man Sanusi Bruski Kargbo referred to as 'Unifier' and 'Game changer' by his supporters yesterday became the first person to declare his intention to run for the Presidency of the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) as the term of office of the current administration led by Isha Johansen comes to an end on August 3.

Isha Johansen's entry as President of the SLFA was illegal, fraudulent and most unethical, that's why her utterances of zero tolerance for corruption are very comical to me. Her claims of not being supported have nothing to do with her being a woman bro. If the overwhelming majority of and association don't want you to head them, you think forcing yourself on them will help. Let's call a spade a spade.

The beginning of the end of the greatest shake-up in the history of football elections in Africa that saw the fall of Issa Hayatou’s 29-year reign was all plotted in Accra Ghana.

Doe Don Klin March 13, 2017

Doe don klin o fambul den we don cam back! Last week I made a big gaff in posting my blog on a global Facebook and not on this forum. My sincere apologies! With only 4 Premier League matches played this weekend only Liverpool were involved from the top 6 pack. Arsenal and Spurs had FA Cup outings with some minnows and both won handsomely. Chelsea and Manchester United battle for supremacy in tonight’s FA clash at The Bridge.

Victor Mansaray, Sierra Leone or USA?

Victor Mansaray- was a surprise move on loan from 2016 MLS Champion Seattle Sounders. Mansaray was signed as a Homegrown player in 2015 at age 17 and in 2016 was named the #1 Under 20 player in USL. He recently has indicated that he may be open to a Leone Stars call up. With Mohamed Kallon emerging as the favorite to take over the reigns of Leone Stars, his influence in the US to to woo over many of the dual citizens to Leone Stars could be key to the success of Leone Stars. There is currently no functioning SLFA league in the country and Isha Johansen's illegitimate administration has brought high level domestic  football to a standstill.

A caveat to Mansaray could be his status in the U-20 USMNT player pool. He was not named to the 20 man squad for U-20 World Cup qualifying in February but the option of a call-up to the World Cup in late May is still a possibility since the U-20’s did qualify. The tournament runs from May 30- June 20 so we could see Mansaray miss time with the club if he is called into Tab Ramos pre-tournament camp. It will be interesting to see how Victor takes the recent snub and uses it as motivation to force his way into a spot on the World Cup roster or maybe a Leone Stars call-up may be a bright way for his career to advance.

It would be recalled that another prodigy, Israel Sesay who famously was labeled by his Los Angeles Galaxy teammate, David Beckham as "the most refreshing talent" he has seen in a long time, saw his career stagnate and may have done well to accept a Leone Star call up as his career waned without an international profile for either Leone Stars or the USA failed to materialize.  Kei Kamara, though at a similar period endured Leone Stars call-ups which eventually lead to move to England and back to the MLS without a tremendous profile. Victor would be wise to follow Kei.
